SPAM card game talent list: Effects and Strategy
The supplied talent directory groups talents by starting effects, granted passives, turn gates, event triggers, and economy or Luck. Each card offers three talents and uses one per match, so the directory is a menu of possible effects rather than a loadout that can all be active together. Its numerical baseline is client v1.20, extracted on 7 October 2026, with later patch corrections applied below.
Table of Contents⌃
Starting effects and recurring stat changes
The starting group contains Cavalry, Focus, Length, Critical, F/W-Shield, Multi Start, Blue Whale, F/E-Shield, L-Shield, and Shared Shield. It also includes Piercing, Crit Sphere, Hardening, Strike, Weaken, Aquatic Field, Blazing Field, Luminous Field, Shadow Field, Earth Field, and Natural Field. Revitalization, Vital Surge, Anticipation, Inaccuracy, and Reducer complete the listed starting group, whose entries include both one-time and recurring triggers.
Do not infer timing from that broad heading alone. Multi Start grants +3 in each element as a starting benefit in the guide, while Focus rolls a 25% chance each turn to gain Taunt. Length gives a random enemy Eternity at the start of your first turn, and Reducer gives a random ally Temporality at that point.
Talents associated with passives and transformations
The granted-passive group lists Heart of Steel, Reckless, Eternalized, Brutal, Inscribed, Inversion, New Life, Phoenix Feather, and Corrupted Heart. It also includes Shadow Heart, Light Heart, Fire Heart, Nature Heart, Earth Heart, Water Heart, Erosion, Paradox, Rare AOE, AOE, Epic AOE, Mimicry, Multicolor, Mystery, and Punching Bag. The source grouping is broad: some entries modify or protect effects rather than being a conventional shop Tox purchase.
Reckless grants +500 HP but immediately applies Random Metamorph, so it changes the card rather than simply adding durable stats to the original profile. Patch 1.23 explicitly leaves talent Random Metamorph unchanged when shop Metamorph moves to same-element choices at any rarity. Keep those transformations separate when reading the list.
Turn-gated talents
Breath-8 grants Elemental Breath at the start of turn 8. Life-8 doubles HP and maximum HP at that point, while Bomb-8 applies Bomba and Immunity-8 applies Immunity on turn 8. Those entries offer no early benefit unless another part of the card's kit provides it.
Their practical value depends on reaching the trigger with a relevant card still present. A deck that struggles before turn 8 may need immediate durability or output instead. That is a timing comparison, not proof that delayed talents are weak in every matchup.
Event-triggered talents and Counter
The event group contains Evolution, Ultimate Reset, Soul Vitality, Resilience, One Man Army, Transition, and Corrosion. Increasing Error, 360 Turn, Counter, Last Breath, Doomed Hour, and Soul Armor complete it. These effects depend on events such as being attacked, killing a card, losing HP, or another card dying.
Counter is the specific talent that retaliates once per game when its bearer takes damage while below 25% HP, using all its abilities on the attacker. It is distinct from a matchup counter, which describes how a strategy answers another strategy. Ultimate Reset is likewise distinct from the Reset Tox: the talent fully heals after a kill, while the Tox keeps the killing attack available.
Economy, Luck, and chance entries
The final source group lists Roulette, Magic Coin, Legacy, Revaluation, Lucky Tox, Cash Out, and Fortune. It also contains Vital Chance, 13th month, Bargain, Debt, Extortion, and New Rich. Read each effect rather than assuming the category means every entry directly generates money.
Magic Coin starts with +2 Luck, Cash Out starts with +25 Spamtons, and Bargain refunds the first Tox purchase in the dated list. Lucky Tox states that each rarity has a 25% chance, which is a talent-specific rule and not the default Luck table. Roulette adds 10% Echo to abilities, while Vital Chance gives a chance to heal when attacked, making their connection to the category less direct.
Later changes and how to choose
Patch 1.23, dated 15 October 2026, reduces Cavalry from +150 to +100 maximum HP for other allied cards. It also reduces Soul Vitality from +300 to +200 HP and maximum HP per death, and removes a hidden 100-Spamton requirement from Vital Surge. The older guide examples showing +150 or +300 must therefore remain historical values rather than updated recommendations.
Patch 1.24 fixes Transition resolving after deaths outside attacks and remembers Ranked draft choices. Patch 1.25, dated 17 October 2026, adds the 30-second talent draft to every tournament and adds a talent glossary in Settings. Use the talent guide for selection and the best talents comparison for role-based choices, keeping model recommendations separate from tested outcomes.
Do not use the directory headings as extra rules
The source's type headings are a convenient browsing system rather than a complete description of timing. A start-of-match category contains both opening changes and effects that check repeatedly during play. Similarly, the economy and Luck category contains chance effects such as Roulette and Vital Chance whose individual descriptions must be read separately.
A talent that grants a passive is also distinct from buying that passive later. Its opportunity cost is the other talent choices on the card, while a shop purchase competes for Spamtons, the current purchase window, and a shared slot. These routes can support the same deck plan without having identical acquisition or replacement rules.
Counter deserves particular care when searching this directory. The capitalized name refers to the specified low-HP retaliation talent, while a guide about countering a card describes a tactical relationship. Reading search intent correctly avoids turning an ordinary matchup recommendation into a claim that the Counter talent is equipped.
The source's count of 80 talents belongs to the older guide period and is not independently recounted after patch 1.25. Later changes can replace talent choices even when a card itself remains in the collection. Use the dated list to understand effects and the later note to identify a changed menu, rather than combining historical counts into an asserted current roster.
The alphabetic glossary added in patch 1.25 provides another lookup route. Clicking a talent shows its description and carrying cards. Clicking a portrait opens that card preview with the talent.
