SPAM card game elemental synergy: Effects and Strategy
Elemental synergy means generating points in the damage types your other cards actually use, then casting those attacks after the bonus is available. The supplied deck-building guide favors one or two elements and combines an engine, matching damage, durability, and a workable Tox budget. This is a functional plan for a four-card deck, not a claim that a particular element automatically defeats another.

Link the generator to several actions
Each element point increases damage of that type by 10% in the supplied rules explanation. A generator therefore gains practical value when multiple attacks can use its points over later turns. Four unrelated damage types are harder to support with a narrow engine than several attacks sharing one or two types.
The six Spirits provide an example of focused generation, while Commando Gerz supplies Earth and Light. Mistress of Tints is the broader engine example, generating +3 in every element every three turns in the source deck-building guide. Choose based on the abilities the deck uses rather than only the element badges on its cards.
Sequence points before damage
Element bonuses apply as soon as they are gained, according to the beginner material. If an available action grants Earth points and another deals Earth damage, cast the bonus first so the damage already benefits. The same reasoning applies to other matching element and attack pairs.
This is a sequencing principle rather than permission to cast unavailable abilities. Cooldowns still determine which actions are ready, and card survival still determines which actions remain in the deck. The useful plan connects the current turn's ready generator with the ready damage instead of calculating an ideal turn that the board cannot perform.
Count the targets that use the bonus
The source deck-building guide highlights area damage because one elemental investment can benefit damage against several enemies. A matching point can support each relevant hit, making target count part of the engine's payoff. That does not establish a fixed total without knowing which enemies remain and how their resistances differ.
AoE Tox adds adjacent-target output, whereas an ability that already hits every enemy has its own target pattern. Keep those descriptions separate rather than assuming every area effect reaches all four positions. The supplied sources do not give a complete set of stacking formulas for every multi-target and Tox combination.
Use talents to support the opening
Multi Start grants +3 in each element at the start and can support a deck whose useful attacks span several types. Field talents grant a named elemental opening bonus in the dated talent directory, while Heart-granting talents begin recurring generation. These options change the early resource pattern before later shop purchases enter the match.
The source model favors Multi Start for several cards, including Faerylia and Mistress of Tints. Those are expected-value model recommendations, not tested win-rate findings. Patch 1.23 also removes Medusine Thorn's Aquatic Field and Blazing Field choices, so an old talent pairing cannot be assumed to remain available.
Buy a Tox that extends the same plan
The shop guide recommends matching Hearts and Lucky early for element engines, with Berserk and Multiplier as later candidates. Hearts grow the resource, Berserk amplifies teamwide damage and healing, and Multiplier doubles one card's elemental bonus. Their roles are related but their beneficiaries and timing differ.
Mimicry can add points when the opponent generates elements, making the opposing engine another influence on your resource pool. It does not guarantee that every copied type is useful to your own damage. The same matching test should apply to copied points, starting bonuses, and purchased generation.
Preserve the engine and cover the resistance problem
The deck-building material asks for enough durability to give the engine time to scale. A deck that loses its only generator early can keep attackers but lose the recurring resource that made them work together. Defensive talents, healing, and protective Tox are therefore part of elemental synergy when they preserve the necessary actions.
A target's resistance is checked against the ability's damage type, so a second supported element can provide another useful route. This is more precise than claiming a universal elemental advantage chart, which the supplied material does not provide. Use the elements reference to read types and elements and talents to align the opening choices with the longer plan.
